The LMNOP Stage

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint. Then the Lord said to me,"Write my answer plainly on tablets,so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time.It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed." Habakkuk 2:1-3

It isn't easy being patient and waiting on God. I feel like I have been in God's waiting room for a while. Just like Habakkuk, I have vigorously addressed my concern to God... I have a vision of what I would like to be doing, but am waiting for His timing, for the moment when He says "Here's the door. Go!"

Being in the waiting room is like the ABC's: A is fun and exciting, its like  Christmas, when you open up the future vision God has for you!! That gets your heart pumping! But when you get to the LMNOP stage the waiting gets tough. Your patience seems to be running out. You begin praying for a path in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:19). You are seeking God and praying for the breakthrough and reminding Him of all the places in scripture when He answered prayer, and we ask God "How much longer?" You look forward to Z...when the vision becomes a reality! God says that if it seems slow in coming to wait patiently, for it will surely take place and it will not be delayed, that it will come in His perfect timing.

--It all comes down to faith and trusting in His mighty good plan! Believing that what He has spoken will surely come. Scripture says that hope anchors the soul. God wants us to not give up, but to continue to set our eyes on Him even while we are sitting in the waiting room.
